Massachusetts Institute of Technology, o MIT App Inventor 2024 no MIT AI & Education Summit!

PPGA PhD student André Lozano Ferreira shares an important achievement for education in Brazil.

The MIT App Inventor 2024 competition took place at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from July 22 to 26 at the MIT AI & Education Summit! The global championship had awards in 3 categories, and Brazil won first place with the Creative Innovation award, with the project “Landslide Detection and Prevention System”, by students Felipe Ferraz, Henrique Ambrogi and João Vitor Battiferro, advised by André.

According to André, the event highlights the fact that the future of a nation lies in education. He thanks MIT RAISE and the App Inventor Foundation for fostering the holistic discussion of AI in Education.
