Continuing Education

The FAU's Continuing Education Coordination offers Graduate Courses (Specialization) and University Extension [Short Courses] in Architecture, Urbanism and Design aiming at the professional development, refreshing your knowledge, or exploring a new area of interest.

It is responsible for proposing and managing courses required to attend constant changes in the professional market, proposing dynamic, active and permanent teaching-learning processes that absorb the scientific and technological advances and social needs that are presented daily to the professional Architect, Urbanist and Designer.

Other information

In the second half of 2019 will be offered five courses of Graduate Courses (Specialization):

  • ARCHITECTURE, CITY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

The course is specifically aimed at architects and urban planners who want to deepen their production to the market including factors of urbanity and social commitment. It includes projects and feasibility studies as well as content underlying the visible Architecture. 

 

  • CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

Addresses real estate issues focusing on entrepreneurial profiles, incorporators agents, architects, engineers and various professionals interested in the processes of management of the development construction, from the site analysis, product design, projects and final work.

 

  • SUSTAINABILITY IN ARCHITECTURE AND URBANISM

Aims to deepen the theme Sustainability of the projects without losing the perspective of the comprehensive vision that the theme requires, including cities.

 

  • STRATEGIC DESIGN

Aims to expand complement and deepen knowledge in Design. Oriented to Designers, Architects, Administrators, Advertising professionals, Engineers and other professionals who work in areas of innovation and general corporate processes where Design has a strategic role.

 

  • TRANSCULTURAL DESIGN

Aims to develop contents for innovation with the use of visual methodologies to solve complex problems - "Design Thinking" - approaching the different relationships between different cultures in function of globalization and the various informational tools that bring them together in the contemporary world.

  • ARCHITECTURE FOR RETAIL: NEW BUSINESS FORMATS

Addresses new business formats that include retail and Architecture related themes.

 

  • ARCHITECTURE IN WOOD

Addresses the contemporary use of this constructive and structural technique that has been transforming contemporary architecture.

 

  • ARCHITECTURE FOR RETAIL NEW TRENDS AND FORMATS

It presents an overview of the variations that have been occurring in retail spaces, including notions of feasibility for the development construction.

 

  • STRATEGIES AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR SOCIAL INTEREST HOUSING

It presents the main strategies to address the theme of Social Interest Housing, including Technical Assistance as an important path of action for Architects.

 

  • URBAN DESIGN AND PEDESTRIAN MOBILITY

It presents the main concepts to the Government and society habits transformation in the sense of the search for a better, sustainable and beautiful city, in which people can carry out and enjoy with more quality of the urban spaces through the pedestrian mobility.

 

  • CERAMIC WORKSHOP FOR HOUSE AND GARDEN

It presents ceramic object modeling techniques through serial manufacturing processes.

 

  • PRESERVATION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE

It presents theoretical contents on the theme of Preservation of Architectural Heritage, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
