Visa requirements
Speakers as well as attendees of the Sao Paulo School of Social and Affective Neuroscience might need to obtain a Tourist Visa for Brazil (VITUR). This specific visa allows for short-term participation in academic events. Currently, many countries are exempt from visa requirement for attending scientific events.
We have gathered a list of countries that are exempt for Tourist Visa requirements in Brazil. However, please check in with your local embassy/consulate to assure this list is up to date.

If you are a passport holder from a country not entailed in the list above, please refer to your local consulate of embassy and apply there for a Tourist Visa for Brazil.
Make sure to provide the institution issuing the visa with the invitation letter from us for participating in the Sao Paulo School of Social and Affective Neuroscience.
Since it can take some time until a visa is issued, please make sure to apply for it early.
When entering Brazil, it is necessary to hold a passport. Be prepared to provide contact information and address of your accommodation, independent of whether you require a visa or not.
Please make sure to ask your GP whether you require any vaccinations for travelling to Brazil.
In the case of any further questions, do not hesitate to contact the International Affairs department at Mackenzie Presbyterian University.
