This week, MackGraphe held an important RD&I partnership alignment meeting with the company Dini Textil, leader in the national market for the production of special polyester woven yarns for applications that require high resistance to wear and tear, such as seats in public transport systems automotive. The project consists of developing highly resistant polyester threads using nanostructured composites based on graphene oxide. The Director of MackGraphe, Prof. Benedito G. Aguiar Neto, highlighted the importance of resuming a very promising partnership that was interrupted during the pandemic, but which showed very promising results.
The development of graphene-based nanostructured and multifunctional materials is part of one of MackGraphe's market segments with numerous applications in the most diverse economic sectors, due to the possibilities of improving the performance of mechanical, electrical or thermal characteristics. MackGraphe was a pioneer in the development of polyester yarn in the country with graphene.
