The Degree Post-Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism, with a Master’s program since the year 2000 and a Doctorate program since 2006, is a consolidated higher-learning course that builds the skills and enables the development of researchers and professors by means of academic and scientific production. It is meant to ensure qualitative teaching and research, and reflection and practice associated with Architecture and Urbanism. Its learning and research design stems from the remarkable role that the Mackenzie Architecture and Urbanism Program (FAU-Mackenzie) has played since its establishment in 1947, in the light of Brazilian architectural production and the tradition of Mackenzie University, one of the oldest higher-education centers in Brazil. The Program is based on studies and research into reflection and the production of knowledge about and for Architecture and Urbanism projects within the theoretical and practical arenas, by means of its research tracks, subjects, research and intellectual and technical production.
