A team from the Mackenzie Institute for Research in Graphene and Nanotechnology – Mackgraphe chaired by its Director General, Dr. Benedito G. Aguiar Neto, visited Sabesp, being welcomed by Sabesp's RD&I Manager and Superintendent, Dras. Fabiana Prado and Cristina Knörich Zuffo.
The Mackgraphe team got to know details of the sophisticated programs for relocating water sources to face water crises in the state of São Paulo and the depollution of the Pinheiros River, an ongoing process with great success, and the innovative technologies employed in them, also sharing technologies with Sabesp available on Mackgraphe that could further enhance the Pinheiros depollution program, with broad, in situ and real-time monitoring of pollutants and the development of intelligent sensors.
A team visit Sabesp to MackGraphe was scheduled for further alignment of ideas. It was, therefore, an important meeting of two institutions from São Paulo that seek to join efforts for the preservation of our springs and the improvement of the quality of the water – liquid of life – that the people of São Paulo consume.
