Graphene Week 2023 took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, between the 4th and 8th of September. During the conference there were scientific presentations from renowned researchers from around the world in the field of graphene, including forums related to companies supplying graphene or companies that sell graphene technology applied to various sectors.
Within this context, it was presented by Prof. Guilhermino Fechine, a compilation of work carried out in the laboratories of MackGraphe (Mackenzie Institute for Research in Graphene and Nanotechnology) and the School of Engineering of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. These works are part of a project financed by FAPESP and activities carried out within the scope of the CAPES-PrInt Program.
The title of the presentation was "Eco-friendly and healthy graphene-based polymer nanocomposites" which took place within the parallel session "Composites, Coatings, Paints, Foams and Additives, Nanomedicine and Diagnostics by Antiviral and Antibacterial Surfaces".
The aforementioned research is of great relevance to MackGraphe as researchers around the world seek environmentally friendly polymers due to demands in various applications.
