The course was designed for training through understanding and reflection on the phenomenon of gender violence within the context of anti-discrimination law, evaluating the positions of the Brazilian and Spanish higher courts and comparing them with the regional systems of inter-American and European human rights protection.
Approach and improve the study on gender violence and anti-discrimination law at the national and international level and the importance of a comparative perspective in the globalized world.
Promote the discussion of legal institutes and jurisprudential positions related to the subject in both countries - Brazil and Spain; deepen the participants' knowledge in the course's concentration areas, seeking an exchange of knowledge and experiences; and investigate possible solutions from one country applicable to another. Foster a space for theoretical and practical debate for the training and improvement of professionals, especially in the network for combating gender violence and dealing with issues related to violence. As a specific objective, to train interested parties with contemporary knowledge of Comparative Law and International Law as a useful tool in the exercise of their activities.
