The laboratory is structured around two main research lines: Data Science and Analytical Methods. The first line focuses more specifically on the application of techniques such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Artificial Neural Networks, Data Mining, Deep Learning, and related fields. The second line involves around researching on analytical methods, including Optimization, Metaheuristics, Process Modeling, and related areas.

MackLEAPS (Laboratory for Studies on Software Production Environments at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie) is a software research and development laboratory affiliated with the School of Computing and Informatics (FCI) at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Its objectives are to identify software and system requirements, define software components and their external properties, establish quality control criteria, prepare students for the job market through real-world projects, and develop secure and applicable software.
